Biography

   

Luis Rognoni born in the neighborhood of Saavedra, Argentina hails from a talented family of artists that had a big influence in his life as a dancer. With the help of professionals as Osvaldo Zotto, Nito and Elba, Juan Copes, Naveira and Fabian Salas, he had taken these experiences and created his own style in Tango.

He then went on to create and instruct the biggest "GRUPO MAYOR DE TANGO" in the University of Mar del Plata, exposing their art in different universities in the country.

Luis now reside in Atlanta, Georgia and continues to conduct workshops and teach Tango at Emory University and at dance studios in Buckhead and Norcross. He also performs for the Argentinean Consulate in Atlanta.

 

Christine Zaarour began her dance career at the age of six in her native homeland of Lebanon. Moving upward in her career, she began performing for Caracalla Dance Theatre of Lebanon, the most renowned dance theatre in the Middle East. Christine performed in London, Montreal, Jordan, Paris, Oman, Tunisia, Syria, Dubai, Lebanon, Egypt, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Malaysia and Italy for well over ten years.

Christine has trained extensively in classical ballet, modern jazz, flamenco, Middle Eastern dance and Dabke.

 

Luis and Christine have teamed up their artistic experiences to bring you the joy and beauty of Argentine Tango. Since they started performing and teaching together, Tango has never been the same.
